Big Shoulders Fund serves students of diverse races/ethnicities, religious beliefs, and socioeconomic statuses and acknowledges the importance of striving to mirror the diversity of the populations it serves through staffing, board development, and professional development strategies. Big Shoulders has been working with members of our Board of Directors, Next Generation committees, and volunteers to guide efforts to increase representation along a number of dimensions (i.e. race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, career path, religious background, age, etc.) and engage more perspectives that are diverse in our strategic visioning process, and student enrichment programming.
